Après Loy Kratong, nous avons visité quelques endroits à Bangkok avec notre ami Kid. Visiter une ville avec une personne qui la connaît comme sa poche est évidemment un délice; vous vous faites prendre par la main et allez de surprise en surprise. Une semaine avec lui et vous avez l’impression que la ville s’ouvre à vous.

Séance de massage, passage obligé chez le coiffeur et dîner au 36 étage du Sofitel au V9. Dîner dans un resto vietnamien, puis terminer la soirée à un concert de jazz au Bamboo Café du Mandarin Oriental Hôtel. S’asseoir devant les écrans de ciné pour ne pas rater le dernier James Bond et continuer au Lido oû passait « The Fall »; continuer la soirée en se délectant d’une pizza au Limoncello. Embarquer sur un long-tail-boat et remonter la rivière pendant quelques heures en ayant l’impression d’être à des kilomètres du centre ville. Quelques fruits de mer dans un resto thaï pour terminer l’après-midi. Nous avons marché dans des lieus typiquement thaïs et des endroits qui auraient pu se trouver dans n’importe quelle autre capitale du monde. Nous avons passé une semaine extraordinaire et avons essayé de garder toutes les cartes de visite afin d’impressionner nos prochains invités. On vous attend!

After Loy Kratong, we visited a few places in Bangkok with our friend Kid. Visit a city with someone who knows it as his pocket is obviously a delight. He takes you by the hand and you go one surprise after another. A week with him and you feel that the city opens up to you.

Massage session, passage to the hairdresser and dinner at the V9 on 36th floor of the Sofitel. Dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant, then end the evening at a jazz concert at the Bamboo Cafe at Mandarin’s Oriental Hotel. Catching up with some movies as the latest James Bond and going on at the Lido, where « The Fall » was playing; continue into the evening enjoying a pizza at Limoncello. Embark on a long-tail boat up the river and for a few hours having the impression of being miles away from downtown. Some seafood in a Thai restaurant to complete the afternoon. We walked in typical Thai places and locations that could be found in any other capital of the world. We spent an extraordinary week and have tried to keep all the cards in order to impress our future guests. We are waiting for you!
